Casey Kuhlman was raised in Orlando, Florida, and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois, where he was president of the Civil Engineering Honor Society. Having been awarded a naval ROTC scholarship to pay for college, he joined the Marine Corps the year he graduated and successfully completed the Basic Officer’s Course, the Infantry Officer’s Course and the Mountain Warfare Leader’s Course, which trains candidates in harsh, environmentally adverse conditions. As a second lieutenant at Twenty-nine Palms Marine Corps Base in California, Kuhlman served as a platoon commander, and upon promotion to first lieutenant, served as executive officer for a rifle company and a headquarters company, and as a battalion special projects officer. He wears the Navy Achievement Medal with the Combat “V” and the Combat Action Ribbon.
I've visited many places and am continuing to pursue my travels. I have been to every state in the union except North Dakota. I have been to Japan, Guam, and Korea in the vicinity of the orient. I have wandered about Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Belguim, and France while in the old country. Closer to home of course I've smelled a tijuana whorehouse (from a distance....mom), have faux-accented ya's in regina, and have listened to bob marley with beat 'maicans. Oh yeah, and then there was the trip to Kuwait and Iraq. How could I forget all the local interaction that happened there.
Since getting out of the Marines, Casey spent two years as a ski bum and river rat. He was employed for five months during that time.
I am currently in law school at Vanderbilt University and am loving it.

Environmentalism is Dead. The Environment. Dabbling in arguments and politics. Listening to things. Watching things. Reading things.
